Press Release

NOMINATIONS FOR FUTURE LEADERS YOUTH AWARDS NOW OPEN

The nominations for the 2nd Future Leaders Youth Awards are now open! Last year, this glamorous event was a big hit with DJ SBu taking home the biggest awards of the evening – The role model of the year.

The tone was set last year with a fresh orange carpet, and performances from Professor, Malume, DJ Sbu, Khuli Chana and Tira.

This, year, the event is set to be bigger and better. It is taking place on the 21st of June at the Olive Convention centre from 18h00. Young people are urged to nominate themselves in the 20 categories.

“These awards are a chance to salute and crown young people who are not known – but who are doing extra ordinary things in the different sectors. As the theme is clear, we are redefining role positive models, and these young people are celebrated.”

The awards are open to young people between 16 and 35. There are 2 categories that are open to ‘adults’ i.e. the corporate award which is for any big business that has contributed a lot to youth development and the Government institution award which is for any government entity with solid programmes for youth empowerment.

Another new exciting category is the Philanthropist award – which is for an individual who is giving back to the youth, with little or no reward.

The entry form below must be filled in and sent back to the Future Leaders office or it can be downloaded from www.futureleaders.co.za and send back: 031312 8421 / This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
